FAQs

The measurement you see - such as 8" - is the entire length of the scissor, including the handle.

It depends on how often you use the scissors, what kind of material you’re cutting, and how well you take care of your scissors. When tested in the rigors of professional sewing studios, our scissors outperformed other brands in the same price tier.

Please note that all scissors will need to be sharpened at some point and that dullness is not considered a defect.

We offer a 10 year warranty on all of our products. For more info, click here.

This is because we use put coating of oil on the blades to prevent any rust from developing during the shipping process. Please wipe off the oil before using the scissors. However, we do recommend that you apply a thin layer of oil - such as anti-rust, sewing machine oil, or any neutral oil - on the blades and button with a cloth when not in use.

We provide a couple of different rates of shipping. Please note that shipping rates are determined and limited by the weight of your order. Some shipping rates may not be available to you, depending on the weight of your order.

Great quality and excellent sharpness

I have a few sets of the full sized scissors but wanted some little snips to go along with them, and these do not disappoint. Very sharp and easy to snip with. The colour is also beautiful and I really couldn't be more pleased with them.

Great quality + durability

I got both these and the thread snips with the colored handles/carbon steel as I wanted to try both and because I liked the prism color of these snips. I got mine as part of the "seconds sale" and I did not really notice that many imperfections with it other than maybe some barely-noticeable nicks in the handle of the snip. So I'm glad I went with getting the on sale ones (caveat is the "seconds sale" you can't return though). These ones are definitely heavier than the carbon steel thread snips so if your hands are smaller/weaker, I'd go with the carbon steel snips. I'll have to get used to using these snips as I've never used any with a hole for your finger, but it did feel like I could get a closer cut with the carbon steel snips than this one, but that could be user error. These ones are definitely feel more durable though and I could see these lasting through a couple generations if that's important to you. Probably more worth to get resharpened too since the other snips are $5 and sharpening costs $10 through LDH. Great snips overall though, very sharp. And I could use it with my left and right hands. If I went back in time though, I would probably just get the carbon steel ones instead since they're cheaper, lighter, and more suited for my hands. I'll probably use these ones for sewing at home and use the carbon steel snips for traveling.

Such a fun addition to my sewing tool kit! The prism colour is so gorgeous and the snippers feel great in the hand to use.

Beautiful quality

These snips are beautiful and so well crafted. They are a pleasure to use. I'm more used to snips without the finger loop but these making thread trimming and clipping a pleasure

Awesome

Beautiful, sharp, comfortable to use. These snips are the best. I've wasted money on some cheap ones before and I have to say these are so much better than what you get in a department store. Highly recommend.
