Manufacturer's Warranty
We get it—buying great fabric shears is an investment. We want your experience with LDH to be excellent, from first cut to years of use. That’s why we offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all LDH Scissors products against defects in materials and craftsmanship.
What’s covered
This warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship (parts) for the original purchaser of an LDH product bought from LDH Scissors Inc. or an authorized/verified retailer.
What’s not covered
- Damage caused by the user (e.g., drops/impact, cutting materials beyond the tool’s intended use, misalignment from improper handling).
- Improper maintenance or storage (e.g., lack of oiling/cleaning, exposure to moisture or corrosive environments leading to rust/oxidation).
- Normal wear and tear, including edge dulling over time, or cosmetic imperfections (minor scratches/finishing marks common to hand-finished tools).
- Product modifications, unauthorized repairs/adjustments, or disassembly.
- Gifted, promotional, or giveaway products.
Note: While stainless steel resists oxidation more than carbon steel, neither can be guaranteed rust-proof.
Maintenance tips
Regular care will keep your tools performing their best: lightly oil pivot points, wipe clean after use, dry thoroughly, and store in a dry place. Chipped blades can occur if the tool is dropped or used on hard/thick materials; this is considered normal wear and can be serviced by a professional sharpener.
Remedy under this warranty
If we confirm a manufacturing defect, we will, at our option, repair or replace the product with the same or a comparable model. Refunds are not typical for warranty claims.
How to submit a claim
Email warranty@ldhscissors.com with:
- Clear photo(s) or a short video of the issue/defect
- Your proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
- Your full name and shipping address
We’ll review and reply with next steps. Shipping fees may apply for sending the product to us; if the claim is approved, we cover the return shipping of the repaired/replaced item.
Transit damage & returns window
- If your product arrives damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and item.
- For standard exchanges/returns (not warranty), our separate Returns & Exchanges policy applies and is generally limited to 30 days.
Other notes
- This warranty is for the original purchaser and is not transferable.
- No other warranties are expressed or implied beyond what’s stated here, to the extent permitted by law.
- Free sharpening is a separate customer benefit and is not part of the warranty coverage.
