The measurement you see - such as 8" - is the entire length of the scissor, including the handle.

It depends on how often you use the scissors, what kind of material you’re cutting, and how well you take care of your scissors. When tested in the rigors of professional sewing studios, our scissors outperformed other brands in the same price tier.

Please note that all scissors will need to be sharpened at some point and that dullness is not considered a defect.

This is because we use put coating of oil on the blades to prevent any rust from developing during the shipping process. Please wipe off the oil before using the scissors. However, we do recommend that you apply a thin layer of oil - such as anti-rust, sewing machine oil, or any neutral oil - on the blades and button with a cloth when not in use.

I finally broke down and decided to buy this set of scissors. I'm 70 of thin stature with small arthritic hands my scissors became too heavy and painful to hold. Aside from them being beautiful, they are well balanced and sharp ! a plus for me. I quit everyday so scissors need to be pain free, and these deliver and more. The pinking shears also as we know are usually very heavy and the ones I've had are quite old. The cuts are beautiful and there is no slippage I was quite surprised how accurate these are, you will not be disappointed in spending the money for these. When it comes to the thread snips I was not exactly sure if I was going to like them, it took me at least three days by using them continuously to get used to them with the thumbholder now I can say that these are my favorite little snips. The shipping was extremely fast and everything was well packed. I would like to say something about this couple that started this business, the customer service and how they stand behind their product is mine boggling to me! This is how Customer Service was many years ago I commend them and their employees on how they handle everything. Today I will be placing an order for the batting scissors and perhaps another pair of thread snips. I can guarantee you that you will be 100% satisfied with there products I will never own a different brand again. Thank you for making a product that gives me more enjoyment than ever before.
